Im 39 years old and work in retail as a Deputy Manager. I love to craft whether it be cardmaking or altering something. I have been crafting for almost 10 years and it helps me to relax after those busy days at work. My big aim was to blog regular and get onto a design team, now Im on 2. Very proud to have recently made Jones design team. I am godmother to 2 lovely children Matty & and Rebecca...Hope you all like what you see and thanks so much for reading my blog and leaving comments.
Good morning, hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. The bad news for me is im working all weekend. But before my shift Sunday im off out to a local craft show with my buddy. Anyway enough of that, todays sees the start of a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu and its the purple teams turn. The lovely Jackie provided a sketch which I thought was fab.
I chose to use my secret garden Grapic 45 papers. It took some fussy cutting with the fence. But think its turned out ok. Why not not take a peek at the rest of the design teams work and join in. Thanks for looking.
Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Hobbycutz. And we are sponsored by the fabulous :
I chose to work with a beautiful image called Elizabeth Bennett. The theme was lace & pearls. I used my minds eye paper, lace, pearls and bits and bobs. Coloured her with promarkers and added some brilliant hobbycutz wooden flowers. I embossed them with silver embossing powder.Hope you like it , please do pop over and take a look at the superb inspiration from the rest of the design and then why not join in ! Thanks to everyone for entering last week.
Blimey its been a few days since I blogged. First week back at work getting up so early everyday wore me out. But I am back today with my first challenge
Thanks so much Sue for letting me loose. So this weeks sponsor was Lacy Sunshine and wow some fantastic digis I got to choose from ! I chose Nicolosia- venice city. We had to also use a charm. Simple 4 x 4 card with red/black papers and I coloured her with watercolour pencils. I must practise my colouring its not up to par !! Well thanks for looking xx
Back with my 2nd post of the day, had a quick play with my new tim holtz stencil & remnant rub ons. They are just fab ! Made a mess inking and distressing. Then stamped the tim holtz component stamp, added some of his chit chat words and metal flowers. Was only a quick play ! Back to work for me in the morning a 3.30am get up. Oh dear that will be a shock to my system. Thanks for taking the time to look.
Wanted to share a piccy of todays craft haul ! Myself and my crafting bestie Marie went on a day out. The purpose was to go for coffee and a drive to test my car. This turned into several craft shops, coffee and cake. Then more shops and pub lunch. It was a great day and got some fab things. In particular tim holtz stencil, rub ons , memory box spiders die and my beloved graphic 45 - new typography paper wowzers. These were from Crafty Bunch in telford. Sue the owner has a wonderful shop full of delights !!!!! I might be back later if I can manage to make something instead of just looking at the stash.......
A great last day before going back to work after 2 weeks off. Thanks for dropping by.
Good evening, tonight I am sharing a gift bag that I made to enter into the graphic 45 september competition. I have reused my scrabble pieces as a couple of weeks ago I decided the tatty old board had to go. But I kept the bag of letters. I used ladies diary paper from g45 and some bits and bobs. Love how it turned out, the photo does not do it justice. Thanks for looking as always.
Good morning peeps, well today sees the start of fresh challenge over at
Eclectic Ellapu. The theme is inspired by a song and its the turn of the purple team. But before I show my card I just wanted to say the pink team did a fantastic job last week. And thanks to everyone for entering.
So inspired by a song was not something I found easy and played it safe with Umbrella by Rihanna. I used some stamping up papers and a Clare Curd stamp. Hope you like it. Please do hop over and join in xx
Well where to start really ! I have just come back from a wonderful break in the peak district and wow what a place. We stayed in a gorgeous lodge with a hot tub.
We had wonderful days out at Chatsworth house and if you love our history and finery you should definitely go.
We took a cable car ride up to Abrahams heights ! And yes im not good with heights but getting better.
Well evenings were for relaxing. It was so quiet it was lovely. I took a bit of crafty supplies with me and crafted in the evenings. I made my charity kit from the talented Christine Emberson. I love it.
It was a sad build up to my hols as someone wrote off my little old car on the m6 ! And at the moment im looking for a new one. But the hol was just what I needed after that . Thanks for taking the time to look. Take care xxx
Hello to everyone in blog land.Today I am sharing a wooden door hanger that I was lucky enough to get in my goody box for being on the hobbycutz design team. And wow what a wonderful assortment of wooden laser cuts it was. Pop over to the hobbycutz website and take a look. I knew immediately that I wanted to use my graphic 45 and set to work painting with black gesso. Then added the papers and embellies. Quite pleased with the end result. Think I might do a graphic 45 secret garden one next. Hope you like it and thanks so much for looking.
Todays post is a quick tag, made with a blank manilla tag from ranger, distressed and added some die cuts and I have used a tim holtz stencil and a keyhole idea-ology piece. Hope you like it & thanks for looking xx
