- Hi and a warm welcome to my blog. My little place in the cyber crafting world. I'm Elaine and I'm 42 years old and married to the most amazing man I could wish for. My passion is all forms of crafting and I'm extremely lucky to be on the design teams for Leonie Pujol and Toni of Darroch at stamps by me limited . I also do a bit of demo work for stix2 anything and I love it. I've recently retrained after being made redundant to become a Teaching Assistant which is a very rewarding job. Well I hope you like what you see on my blog. I'm always grateful for people taking a peek and leaving messages x

Wow can't believe I haven't posted for 12 days - naughty me..... But working in retail means November and December are sooooooo busy and I hardly get anytime to create for long. And I have to do my own festive shopping aswell lol. Well I managed to make this months months charity kit from the lovely Christine Emberson. It's a cute little gift bag and I love it.
I was also lucky enough to recently win one of Christine's competitions, here's a picture of me wearing the tiara and looking at the book.
Excuse my work uniform !!
This is what I won
And then this week as I had sent in the pic of me in the tiara I won a set of these dies -
She's a very very generous lady and she dedicates a lot of time and effort to bring us these kits for charity.
Anyway time for me to get ready for craft club with my friend Maria.
Be back soon hopefully,
Take care & thanks for looking xx

Good evening to all the wonderful people in blog land. Well today is the start of a new challenge at Eclectic Ellapu, and the theme for the purple team is alter it ! So transformed a MDF butterfly.......
I was given this by the lovely owner of intricut crafts to alter ready for my 1st ever demo day. So I painted it in black gesso and used g45 collection Mon amour. I did 2 layers of paper and only adhered a strip in the middle so that there would still be full movement in the wings. Really happy how it turned out and the pictures don't do it justice.
I'm pleased to report the demo day went well and although I was really nervous the time flew by. Really hope I get to do it again lol. Here's a couple of snaps...
Wendy the owner & her lovely daughter who is also an Elaine
And a couple of my samples on the table
Don't forget I have a blog candy prize when I get to 75 followers which seems to be taking forever lol.... This is one of the prizes
A deluxe edition of once upon a springtime and also included in the papers is chipboard and stickers. I shall also be throwing in several other crafty items. So spread the word someone's got to win !! Anyway have a wonderful Sunday evening, thanks for visiting xxx

Hello friends, well to say I was overjoyed when graphic 45 decided to re-release steampunk Debutante is an understatement. I loved these papers when I went to a workshop around 6 years ago and only ever managed to buy the odd sheet. But now I have a full set yay ! So I created this little matchbook box which is also from g45. It's this weeks design team piece for Jones crafts. I painted it with black gesso and cut out all the bits and bobs from the paper including lots of the little butterflies. Added some dies and flowers etc. I'm really pleased how it turned out. Take a look.....
Hope you liked it. Anyway a huge piece of exciting news for me is that I've been asked to demonstrate graphic 45 at one of the craft shops in the local area. I'm thrilled and also scared out of my wits ! It's at intricut crafts which has just moved into a larger premises. Nerves are so bad already, I'm beavering away making lots of samples etc. so wish me luck it's on Halloween lol.
Hope you are all having a great week , take care thanks for looking and taking the time to leave comments, I can't thank you enough xxx

Good morning, well I'm here today to show my make for MAWTT and the theme was Halloween, so I made a frame from a spare piece of mount board. Painted it with Dylusions paint, used a Tim Holtz stencil and added papers from rare oddities by Graphic 45. I then added embellishments from my stash. To get the blood marks on it I dribbled alcohol inks on and blotted it off.
Let me know if you like it
I've had a busy weekend as I went on my 1st ever craft retreat..... Organised by the wonderful Susan Jones from crafty Bunch. This is her putting the shop back together lol,
It was amazing and didn't want to come home. We stayed in a fabulous hotel from Friday to Sunday night. 2 full days of craft with Hels Sheridan & Pauline wheeler. The food and company was fab . 33 ladies all together, some great friends, and even met some wonderful new ladies, food, drink and craft it was perfect. Thanks Sue you deserve a medal ( I'm praying she does another ). Anyway here's a few snaps.
This is one of the projects a folio using the gorgeous Graphic 45 gilded lily. I haven't taken a photo of the storage we made but will post it later in the week.

Well it's the 1st October so that can only mean it's time for a new Challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu. The theme for this month for us purples is Halloween. I just love Halloween. I decided to alter a cheap frame that cost only £1. Here is the before photo....
I then covered it in dylusions paint in purple & hints of the lime green colour. Then I got out my graphic 45 papers & embellishments using the amazing Rare Oddities.......this is how it turned out. Really rather pleased with it. Let me know what you think.
The little bottles are from Tim Holtz and I've filled them with liquid pearls.
Had great fun making this. Anyway please do pop over and take a look at what all my wonderful team mates have made. Hope everyone is well, thanks for stopping by always appreciated.

Hello to my crafty friends, firstly I need to apologise to All my lovely team mates at Moving along with the times and our lovely boss Wendy. This should of been posted on Thursday, but I can honestly say it's not my fault. It's Virgin Media services. We have been without any TV or Internet since last Monday. Everyday I rang I was told it would be fixed and it wasn't. Then sometime during the early hours this morning it was fixed. My husband has not been impressed missing all the football ! But thank goodness it's fixed for the weekend matches. So moaning over here is my card for team A and the theme was wearing hats and scarves.
I used a Lindsay Mason wood mounted stamp that I have had for years. I love it and it never ages. I used some Graphic 45 paper & a spellbinders die.
Hope you like it. I have 10 days off from work starting today, tonight I'm off to see Florence and the Machine in concert. But today will be spent catching up on everyone's blogs. Have a great weekend and thanks so much for dropping by xx

So I have had a lovely weekend, booked a last minute day off work Saturday to travel to Coventry to meet my crafting idol, the fabulous Christine Emberson. All I can say is what a lovely warm lady she is and so very talented. Christine and her son Elliott run Hope chances creativity online and that's where I get my spellbinders from. The demo was fab with amazing samples -( actually quite embarrassed with my entry, having applied for the DT Elliott has set up ). I also got to meet her lovely mum who accompanied her.
Here is a photo of them both.
I picked up some great tips and hoping to try them out today, can't wait to get to my desk. So thanks for the inspiration Christine and looking forward to seeing her on the craft channel next week.

Good morning all,
Well September already.........although the weather here at the moment is making me feel like it's November !
So we have a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu, the challenge for us purple team was to use things in our crafty stash that was more than 6 months old. Well where would I start I have enough stash that I have never used that it would last me about 4 lifetimes ha ha.
I decided to pull out a very old paper pad from Graphic 45 called On the boardwalk, it was discontinued some time ago.
I did break into a cold sweat when I cut into it but I'm happy to say that passed a few minutes later lol. Here is the card I made....
I used the smallest g45 tag for the front aswell as the paper. Love the vintage feel to these papers and the images on them.
Hope you like it. Please pop over and see what all my lovely team mates have made. Have a fabulous day, thanks for stopping by again. From the bottom of my heart I thank you xxxx
Big hugs Elaine
P.s A day of craft today so better get my skates on !

I used one of our wedding pictures from last year to create a 12 x 12 page. Hope you like it.
