About Me

Hi and a warm welcome to my blog. My little place in the cyber crafting world. I'm Elaine and I'm 42 years old and married to the most amazing man I could wish for. My passion is all forms of crafting and I'm extremely lucky to be on the design teams for Leonie Pujol and Toni of Darroch at stamps by me limited . I also do a bit of demo work for stix2 anything and I love it. I've recently retrained after being made redundant to become a Teaching Assistant which is a very rewarding job. Well I hope you like what you see on my blog. I'm always grateful for people taking a peek and leaving messages x

Workshop photos

Hello and a warm welcome to my blog. Remember I'm giving away a super blog candy when I reach 75 followers. This includes a special graphic 45 pack !! So spread the word !
Anyway last Sunday I had the most amazing craft day at Crafty bunch ! The lovely Pauline Wheeler was there to teach  as what can only be described as a masterpiece !! Me and my bestie Maria loved it....
Here's what we made

I added a black & white photo from my wedding last year and personalised it with names & dates etc. Amazing mixed media fun.

Here's a photo : sue the brilliant owner of crafty bunch ( how she puts up with us all I'll never know ), me in the middle and then the lovely Pauline. She will be appearing on Create & craft from next month - so be on the lookout.
Can't wait until October as Sue has organised a craft retreat weekend where Pauline will be teaching and so will the fab Hels Sheridan. Exciting !! Not sure Sue ever stops organising for us all !! But I would like to say a massive thanks to her for everything she does, not sure if she reads my blog !!
Anyway enough of me going on , hope you have all had a great weekend, thanks for looking it's always appreciated xx

ABC primer

Hello, and hope you are all having a fantastic weekend. I'm on late shift today but tomorrow is going to be a fabulous day as myself and Maria are booked into crafty bunch for a workshop organised by the lovely sue ( owner of crafty bunch ) and taken by the fabulous Pauline Wheeler. I'm a huge fan of Pauline's and she will be appearing on your screens for create and craft from next month. It's a altered box and it looks fab. Will show pictures when I've finished it.
Anyway today I'll share my latest DT piece for Jones crafts, using the gorgeous ABC primer by graphic 45. It's a vintage style educational tool........

It started life as a white canvas and I covered it in Rangers Black gesso, made a little box to house the full alphabet and a clip to put the sums. I covered the pencil too, added various papers and chipboard from the special edition pack.
This has been my favourite make in a long time and I really enjoyed it.
Well must go break is over......
Have a wonderful day and take care, hope the sun is shining where you are.
Big hugs Elaine xx

Jones crafts design team

Hello there , how is everyone ?
Its been such a mad month for me - moving house, told about redundancies and 5 lovely days with my friends & hubby in Devon. Back home now and the craft room is almost finished can't wait to sit and have a proper play..... But first I was sent a lovely DT package from Jones crafts again.

I managed to make a quick card from the g45 Times nouveau collection, whilst sitting at the breakfast table as craft room was nowhere near finished lol....

Here's a quick picture of the desk area

I will post finished ones soon.
And a couple of snaps from Devon to finish.....
Take care friends, thanks for popping by xxx

Almost back in the real world !

Hello dear blogger friends. Well I'm pleased to say that we now have internet, phone and TV ! Yay. However still no craft room furniture (going to IKEA later) , on the plus side blinds are being fitted for both windows. Yep I made hubby give me the room with 2 windows to let the light in, he has a tiny box room with 1 window as his man cave lol. He does also have the garage so don't feel to sorry for him.
Anyway back to craft, today sees the start of a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu and for the purple team it was photo inspiration and here is my interpretation..... Please remember I didn't have access to hardly any craft stash so had to use a kit.

Hope you like it. Please drop over and see what my lovely teamies have made.
Big welcome to my newest follower Marlene, she has a poorly back at the moment so wishing her well. Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
Love Elaine xx
