About Me

Hi and a warm welcome to my blog. My little place in the cyber crafting world. I'm Elaine and I'm 42 years old and married to the most amazing man I could wish for. My passion is all forms of crafting and I'm extremely lucky to be on the design teams for Leonie Pujol and Toni of Darroch at stamps by me limited . I also do a bit of demo work for stix2 anything and I love it. I've recently retrained after being made redundant to become a Teaching Assistant which is a very rewarding job. Well I hope you like what you see on my blog. I'm always grateful for people taking a peek and leaving messages x

Up Cycled frame

Good evening, and what a wet day it has been. I'm sure it's not stopped raining....
No wonder I've got a horrific cold and cough I just can't believe it, never felt like this in July before. Oh well it could be worse. So what's been happening, hubby finally got his new car and it's lovely. I managed a couple of hours crafting before the man flu hit me.
I got a really cheap frame from the £1 shop in gold.

A lovely lady called Wendy from a craft shop gave me a tub of the new Dylousions paint to try and I transformed the frame using the paint and graphic 45 papers from the raining cats and dogs collection. What do you think ?

The frame is now in Wendy's shop next to the paints to show you that you can use it on plastic.
Well I'm sure that's all from me, back to bed I go. Wish I wasn't at work tomorrow  that would surely make me feel better !
Well have a wonderful weekend, and thanks to everyone from the bottom of my heart for stopping and leaving comments. It is truly appreciated xxx

Happy news !

Hello and a huge warm welcome to my newest followers. Don't forget that when I reach 75 followers I will be having a big giveaway and included will be this deluxe edition set from Graphic 45....

Plus lots of other goodies.
Right time to share my good news, the lovely Wendy aka Spanish crafter invited me to join the DT for moving along with the times challenge blog, of course I said yes !! Thanks for asking me and I will look forward to working with all those lovely ladies. Right not a lot of crafting has taken place as we have been on the hunt for a new car hubby's literally refused to do anything !!! It wasn't worth spending money to repair it. We have found a lovely black sporty polo, just under 3 years old, but just waiting for the
Garage to release it. So aswell as my commute to work I've been dropping hubby and picking him up or letting him have the car. But fingers crossed we will get it this week.
I did make 3 cards when my lovely friend Maria came over, the 2 smaller ones were inspired by Pinterest.

Hope you like them, today I shall be crafting all afternoon. Lots of DT projects to make. Have a wonderful weekend, thanks for stopping by xxx

Gilded lily

Well good morning to everyone out there, hope it's been a fabulous weekend for everyone. I didn't get much craft done, just a few cards when my best buddy came over. We sat together and chatted and crafted it was lovely.
So then today I thought I would share last weeks design team piece for Jones crafts, I was very lucky to a lovely DT box filled with gilded lily and rare oddities papers, chipboard and tags. Thanks to Darren & jones crafts for such a fab box. Anyway I started with a 8x8 canvas

And transformed it into this.....

I really like how it turned out, lots of fussy cutting, I used my brayer to put the paint onto the canvas. I also used one of my Tim holtz crown adornments but added a bit of blue distress paint to match some of the blues in the papers. I went round the wording with my wink of Stella pen.
And so it was finished, I'm really happy how it turned out and the pictures don't do it justice. Gilded lily is such a wonderful collection. Well folks hope you
Like it, thanks for popping by, I always appreciate it and read all the comments.
Take care, love Elaine x

Whoops 1 day late

So sorry to everyone for being a day late with my piece for Eclectic Ellapu. I really did not register that the 1st July was yesterday !! Anyway better late than never I suppose, so the theme for the purple team was favourite holidays and I have to say I instantly thought of Halloween, as I've just had the new graphic 45 rare oddities collection I thought I would use that. So I made a card.

I just love the colours , hope you like it.
I also got a wonderful surprise from the very lovely Fiki in Croatia , a gorgeous card and key ring . They are fab. Thank you so much.

Anyway hope everyone is well, take care and thanks so much for looking.
