About Me

Hi and a warm welcome to my blog. My little place in the cyber crafting world. I'm Elaine and I'm 41 years and married to the most amazing man I could wish for. My passion is all forms of crafting and I'm extremely lucky to be on the design teams for Leonie Pujol, Toni Darroch at stamps by me limited and Eclectic Ellapu challenge blog. I also do a bit of demo work for stix2 anything and I love it. I've recently retrained after being made redundant to become a Teaching Assistant which is a very rewarding job. Well I hope you like what you see on my blog. I'm always grateful for people taking a peek and leaving messages x

Gilded lily

Hello there, I'm currently watching The great British bake off while typing this post.... I love that show. I don't watch hardly any TV but make an exception for this every week.
This week my latest project for Jones crafts went up on their Facebook page. It's a Tim holtz clock transformed with gilded lily........

Such a pain to do but love the finished result. The photos really don't do it justice. I love these papers so much.
Hope you like it.
The week has been really nice been crafting and doing plenty of cooking making homemade soups and cakes. Really don't want to go to back to work next week !! Off to Nottingham with my lovely crafty friend Sue who owns crafty bunch on Saturday. It's a Fran Moreland who's on the prima Design team so looking forward to that. Anyway time to go , hope all my lovely crafty friends are well, take care xx

Huge apologies

Hello to my crafty friends, firstly I need to apologise to All my lovely team mates at Moving along with the times and our lovely boss Wendy. This should of been posted on Thursday, but I can honestly say it's not my fault. It's Virgin Media services. We have been without any TV or Internet since last Monday. Everyday I rang I was told it would be fixed and it wasn't. Then sometime during the early hours this morning it was fixed. My husband has not been impressed missing all the football ! But thank goodness it's fixed for the weekend matches. So moaning over here is my card for team A and the theme was wearing hats and scarves.

I used a Lindsay Mason wood mounted stamp that I have had for years. I love it and it never ages. I used some Graphic 45 paper & a spellbinders die.
Hope you like it. I have 10 days off from work starting today, tonight I'm off to see Florence and the Machine in concert. But today will be spent catching up on everyone's blogs. Have a great weekend and thanks so much for dropping by xx

Mon Amour & spellbinders

Good evening, what a busy hectic week I have had. Work super busy due to stocktake.... Here's a picture of me and my best craft buddy & work mate Maria, this was taken at 02.45 in the morning outside work.

Talking of Maria it was her birthday Thursday and I made her a card and matching gift bag from the wonderful DT parcel I got from jones crafts. I used g45 mon amour. It has the prettiest papers...

We celebrated by friends going out to Nandos for a meal...

A really lovely day but bittersweet as also the same day as my little brother passed away...19 years ago. I dedicate this post to my love for him.

Thanks for stopping by xx

When Elaine met Christine...

Hello friends, can you believe it we have had 2 sunny days in row !! Although it's not that warm, it does make a nice change not to rain lol.
So I have had a lovely weekend,  booked a last minute day off work Saturday to travel to Coventry to meet my crafting idol, the fabulous Christine Emberson. All I can say is what a lovely warm lady she is and so very talented. Christine and her son Elliott run Hope chances creativity online and that's where I get my spellbinders from. The demo was fab with amazing samples -( actually quite embarrassed with my entry, having applied for the DT Elliott has set up ). I also got to meet her lovely mum who accompanied her.
Here is a photo of them both.

I picked up some great tips and hoping to try them out today, can't wait to get to my desk. So thanks for the inspiration Christine and looking forward to seeing her on the craft channel next week.
Here's a card made as part of my DT entry. Love the foilage dies and I used doodlebug papers.

Hope you like it.
Thanks ever so much for taking the time to read my blog and leave comments it's appreciated. Have a lovely week.
Love Elaine x

1st of the Month

Good morning all,
Well September already.........although the weather here at the moment is making me feel like it's November !
So we have a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu, the challenge for us purple team was to use things in our crafty stash that was more than 6 months old. Well where would I start I have enough stash that I have never used that it would last me about 4 lifetimes ha ha.
I decided to pull out a very old paper pad from Graphic 45 called On the boardwalk, it was discontinued some time ago.

I did break into a cold sweat when I cut into it but I'm happy to say that passed a few minutes later lol. Here is the card I made....

I used the smallest g45 tag for the front aswell as the paper. Love the vintage feel to these papers and the images on them.
Hope you like it. Please pop over and see what all my lovely team mates have made. Have a fabulous day, thanks for stopping by again. From the bottom of my heart I thank you xxxx
Big hugs Elaine

P.s A day of craft today so better get my skates on !
