About Me

Hi and a warm welcome to my blog. My little place in the cyber crafting world. I'm Elaine and I'm 42 years old and married to the most amazing man I could wish for. My passion is all forms of crafting and I'm extremely lucky to be on the design teams for Leonie Pujol and Toni of Darroch at stamps by me limited . I also do a bit of demo work for stix2 anything and I love it. I've recently retrained after being made redundant to become a Teaching Assistant which is a very rewarding job. Well I hope you like what you see on my blog. I'm always grateful for people taking a peek and leaving messages x

Children's hour

Good evening, and a very warm welcome to my blog. This week I have made a card using Children's hour collection by Graphic 45, this is a DT make for Jones crafts. Love the purple colour.

I also used 2 different spellbinders dies, liquid pearls and a pretty little bow.
The stitches and trade show starts at the weekend in Birmingham and fingers crossed some of my samples will be on display in the fabulous Jones crafts stand. A very very proud moment for me if that happens, hope the lovely Darren sends me pictures lol.
Well my Tesco career is almost at an end only 4 more working days to go and just over a week until it shuts its doors for the last time......

I started as a very young girl 21 years ago as a checkout assistant on 18 hours a week ! I finish as a full time deputy Manager - am I going to miss it, time will tell. Lots of mixed emotions leading up to the final week. Not looking forward to the goodbyes and watching the shutter come down one last time. End of an era but everything happens for a reason,
At least that's what I keep telling myself.
Well thanks for stopping by and listening to me waffle on.
Have a great weekend everyone & be happy...... I will leave you with a picture of  me ( in the middle ) , the checkout manager and grocery manager ! We have all been taking lots of pictures and selfies to capture the memories.

More ladies Diary...

Hello, hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, I have been spending a bit of time with hubby at the cinema and doing the usual household chores lol.
So I've been a busy little bee recently making samples using the fabulous g45 ladies diary for Jones crafts. Samples are currently winging there way to their HQ as we speak. With a bit of luck they will be on display at the stitches trade show in Birmingham, providing they are good enough...... Here's one of the 8x8 cards I made for them, by the way I adore these colours.

I fussy cut the flowers & did a couple of layers on the other images.
Really love this collection it's so easy to work with.
Hope you like it, I just want to say a big thank you for visiting my blog , it's always appreciated.
Big hugs Elaine xxx

Eclectic is back !

Wow 1st Feruary already, I have just under 4 weeks until the store I have worked in for the last 21 years closes its doors for good. Time for bigger & better things as they say lol.
Well I'm thrilled that the Eclectic Ellapu challenge blog is back after our extended Christmas break. The theme for the purple team was picked my myself and it was decorate or make your own little gift bag. Here's my effort....

I used the gorgeous Graphic 45 botanicabella. Such a wonderful paper collection. I added one of the chipboards and cut and layered one of the butterflies, this is all included in the deluxe edition paper set. I used a lawn fawn die. This is my favourite die that I own and I make so many things with it. So hope you like it, please do hop over to see what my fellow pink & purple teamies have created, and join in the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by xxxx
